Data Collected
Your optional use case preference is collected for product improvement and can be changed in settings.
Files you upload are sent to the Hive AI API for analysis. For image analyses, FakeRadar stores a copy of the uploaded image in R2 under a field historically named thumbnail_r2_key. This copy is not necessarily reduced in size. Video analyses store the uploaded video and extracted frames. Analysis results, forensic artifacts such as ELA heatmaps and FFT spectrums, and the content fingerprint (SHA-256 hash) are also recorded.
We record the referring page and the landing page path with the optional utm_source, utm_medium, and utm_campaign values. We use this information to understand which channels bring analysis requests. Other query parameters are discarded.
Data Stored
The email address you provide when creating an account, subscription information, uploaded image copies, EXIF data, analysis results, SHA-256 content fingerprints, share links, and generated OG share cards may be stored. Uploaded files, extracted frames, forensic images, EXIF data, and OG cards are retained for 7 days for guests and 30 days for Free accounts. Pro analyses have no automatic expiry. Deleting an analysis or account ends access immediately and removes its stored files without waiting for automatic expiry. Scores, normalized results, and content fingerprints may remain in an inaccessible technical record for caching and share-link integrity.
Third-Party Services
The following third-party services are used as part of our platform:
- Hive AI (United States): Image and video content analysis
- Sightengine (France): Secondary content analysis for Pro
- Cloudflare: Infrastructure, CDN, and bot protection with Turnstile
- Paddle: Payment processing and subscription management
- Resend: Transactional email delivery
- Google: OAuth social login and Fonts
- FakeRadar VPS: First-party forensic image and video processing
These services process data under their own privacy policies.
